About

Where founders find their first backers.

Day Zero is a backing site for pre-launch software. Founders sell lifetime deals. Backers join the first 100. You can also list your LTD for someone else.

Vision

A world where great pre-launch software finds its earliest customers, and people can keep a public record of the startups they backed at day-zero prices.

Mission

Give early-stage software founders their first paying customers before launch, at founder-friendly economics — and give backers a place to join those startups, then list their LTD.

Three sides of Day Zero

Founders

List a prototype, pay $20 plus a $100 listing bond, and sell up to 100 lifetime deals at $29–$39. Keep 90–92% of every sale, but 70% of that share is held until you deliver. If you don't ship, that hold goes back to backers — not a full $39 refund.

Backers

Back a pre-launch startup with a lifetime deal. It shows on your public @username. One LTD per product so slots go to real users. You can also list your LTD for another backer at a price you choose.

Day Zero

Curation in 24–48 hours, escrow, identity verification, and a public ban list. We help founders find their first customers — not a securities platform, prediction market, or gambling operator.

Your backing is public

dayzero.io/@username is a permanent record of startups you joined early. Lifetime access is the product. The profile is proof of taste.

A public @username

Every startup you back is listed with date, price, and whether it shipped. Taste is the reputation layer.

Honest delivery stats

Shipped vs failed % sits on the profile. First Backer badges stay with the original backer even if an LTD is later listed.
