Refunds

What comes back, and when

Day Zero is not a store with instant full refunds — it is escrow on pre-launch software. This page says exactly what is returned so nobody is surprised.

What is refundable

On every LTD purchase, roughly 70% of the founder's share is held in escrow until they deliver (the held amount shown on your account page). 30% is released to the founder so they can build, and payment-processor fees are gone the moment you pay. A refund returns the held amount — not the full sticker price.

When you can ask

  • Non-delivery: the delivery date passed and the founder has not shipped working software.
  • Within 30 days after delivery: you got access but the product is not what the campaign promised.

How it works

  1. Request the refund from your account page — reason plus anything we should know.
  2. A human reviews it within a few business days. No bots decide refunds.
  3. Approved refunds go back through Dodo Payments to your original card, typically within 5–10 business days. Your LTD seat is released.
