Day Zero collects only what accounts, payments, and public portfolios require. Card details never touch our servers — payments run on Dodo.

What we collect

Backers: email, phone (verification), and optional profile content you publish on @username. Founders: Loom video, listing materials, and payout details. Identity is checked via Loom and a government ID plus selfie.

Payment cards are processed by Dodo. Day Zero does not store full card numbers. Device and payment-method fingerprints exist in the live product to enforce one LTD per user per startup — not to sell ads.

What is public

Backer portfolios and founder track records are public by design (campaigns, delivery rate, satisfaction). You can choose a display name. Ban-list entries show a reason, not a home address.

Retention

We keep records needed for refunds, chargebacks, and consumer-protection disputes. You can request deletion of optional profile content; KYC records follow our identity vendor and applicable law.
