Watch Loom videos, poke prototypes, and decide which pre-launch tools are real enough to list. Year 1 volume is ~20 listings a month.

  • Review Loom authenticity, timeline realism, and product descriptions
  • Flag vaporware, launched products, and non-software submissions
  • Write short approve / reject / request-changes notes

Trust & safety operator

Own community flags, chargeback watch, escrow forfeit cases, and the public ban list.

  • Triage backer reports (missed delivery, mismatch, suspected fraud)
  • Track founder chargeback rates; suspend above 2–3%
  • Keep consumer-protection copy accurate: refunds, not prizes

Hand-curate the first 10–40 AI and developer-tool founders. Day Zero’s cold start is founder-driven, not paid ads.

  • Reach indie hackers, Israeli tech Twitter, and founders whose tools are still too early for launched-catalog marketplaces
  • Explain $20 listing + escrow and 8–10% vs 30–70% cuts
  • Help founders embed the Backer Widget on day one
